01 About

Rooted in this soil,
always reaching higher.

An economist who builds — moving between research, capital and the ground where both have to work.

I lead Nexcelia Solutions B.V., a Dutch-domiciled investment and advisory firm operating across Europe, Asia and Southern Africa, alongside directorships spanning development, hospitality and finance in Zimbabwe and beyond.

My work sits where fintech meets financial development — as a researcher, as an operator, and as an investor backing the infrastructure that lets economies leapfrog.

Original frameworks — GFDI & the Leapfrog Paradox

My research examines how fintech shapes financial development — from China’s 290-city fintech experiment to AI developments and bank risk in the Eurozone, studied at Warwick Business School in collaboration with the Bank of England — and extended through the Global Fintech Development Index and the Leapfrog Paradox, a framework for how frontier economies skip legacy financial infrastructure.

Beyond Inclusion — Fintech’s AI Inflection Point by Dr Tadiwanashe Muganyi. Amazon Best Seller and #1 New Release in Commercial Policy.

“Inclusion was the beginning. Intelligence is the inflection.

Fintech’s AI Inflection Point argues that the great project of financial inclusion — a decade that brought hundreds of millions into the formal financial system — was only the opening act. Access to an account is not the same as power over one’s financial life.

Moving from China’s 290-city fintech experiment to the mobile-money economies of Africa, the book traces how artificial intelligence is turning financial access into financial intelligence: credit that understands context, regulation that reads markets in real time, and frontier economies that leapfrog legacy infrastructure entirely. It closes with a framework for builders, bankers and regulators navigating the inflection — and a warning about who gets left behind when intelligence, not access, becomes the dividing line.
